[English]

This research has evaluated transit- oriented development around Valiasr Square metro station in Tehran, emphasizing the environmental impacts. The research method was based on descriptive-analytical method. In data collection, both documentary and survey methods have been used. Quantitative and qualitative methods have been used in data analysis, so that based on quantitative methods, descriptive and inferential statistical tests, including averaging, analysis of variance (ANOVA), Levin's statistic, and gamma correlation test have been used. Trend analysis has also been used in qualitative methods. The statistical population included local community. Data validity was based on construct validity; and the reliability of the questionnaire was based on Cronbach's alpha. The findings demonstrated the most dimensions affected by the implementation of the project are related to the economic dimension (with an average of 65/4%) and the least is related to the institutional-legal dimension (with an average of 53/8 %). Estimates illustrate the positive impacts of the implementation of the project in the future, based on the Likert spectrum scale, will be high level. The results of analysis of variance elucidate the significance level of Levin's test is greater than 0.05. As a result, the assumption of equality of variances in different statistical societies is confirmed. Also, based on the results of Gamma test, the significance level was above 0.05, as a result, there is no significant difference in terms of belief in the effectiveness of the project implementation among citizens of local community in the study area.
