Aims and Scope

The Journal of Natural Environment aims to disseminate the latest scientific and up-to-date achievements of researchers, faculty members, and students in the field of the natural environment.

The journal welcomes innovative and problem-oriented research findings addressing the following areas, with priority given to studies that contribute to resolving pressing environmental challenges in Iran.

The journal’s scope includes land-use planning and environmental assessment; wildlife ecology and management; biodiversity management; nature-based tourism and ecotourism; protected-area management; decision-making techniques in the natural environment; pollution in natural environments; ecosystem services of forest, rangeland, desert, mountain, coastal, marine, and wetland ecosystems; waste and wastewater management; zoo management; advanced techniques for environmental impact assessment of development projects; clean energy; monitoring of the natural environment; economic valuation of ecosystem services; environmental law and legislation concerning the natural environment; environmental education and participatory management; and natural-environment governance.

In addition, manuscripts addressing other interdisciplinary fields related to the environment, including biotechnology, environmental chemistry, marine chemistry, environmental engineering, urban and rural environmental studies, and green-space management, are also considered for peer review and potential publication.
