Exploring the role of green technology governance on green supply chain management practices with the moderating role of green digital intelligence (Case study: Managers of green product manufacturing companies in the cities of Urmia and Tabriz citie

Considering the importance of sustainability and reducing environmental impacts in supply chains, it is essential to examine the role of technologies and management strategies in improving the environmental performance of organizations. The present study aimed to investigate the impact of green technology governance on green supply chain management practices and the moderating role of green digital intelligence. Four key dimensions of green supply chain management were considered, including environmentally friendly design, green purchasing, environmental cooperation, and reverse logistics. This research is of an applied and descriptive-correlation type. The statistical population included 70 green product manufacturing units in Urmia and Tabriz cities, identified as the statistical population based on the Environmental Organization and the Semat Organization of Urmia and Tabriz counties. The required sample size was determined as 59 manufacturers based on the Morgan table. In order to increase the accuracy and validity of the data, two managers from each manufacturing unit were questioned and 118 questionnaires were distributed purposefully. The data collection tool was a standard questionnaire and the analysis method was structural equation modeling. The findings showed that green technology governance has a positive and significant impact on all dimensions of green supply chain management practices. Green digital intelligence also has a positive moderating role, and increasing its level strengthens the effect of green technology governance on supply chain environmental performance. Based on the results, implementing green technology governance frameworks along with developing green digital intelligence can improve supply chain productivity and environmental performance. By providing empirical evidence, this study highlights the importance of combining policies and smart technologies for managers and policymakers, and shows that simultaneous investment in green technology governance and digital intelligence is the key to improving supply chain efficiency and sustainability..
