The bird is distributed in the mountainous regions of north, northwest and western parts of Iran. In this respect, in recent years, the populations of this species are declining due to habitat destruction, unregulated hunting, overgrazing, etc. Therefore, conserving the relatively large patches of habitat is very important in order to support the species’ vital requirements. In this study, the habitat suitability of Caspean Snowcock in Charmahal and Bakhtiari Province (as a region containing mountainous landscapes) has been investigated. According to the results, elevation (44.3%), annual precipitation (19%), slope (17.2%) and human footprint (8.5%) contributed the largest percents to the habitat suitability model. Potentially, the Caspian Snowcock can occurs in habitats with elevation of 1700 to 4150 m above sea level. However, only 0.81% of suitable habitats fell within elevation of 1700 to 2000 m. The estimated suitable habitats of the species cover approximately 19.4% of this province, but only about 15.8% of these areas are officially protected. On the other hand, human disturbances such as residential locations, roads, overgrazing and collecting of medicinal and aromatic plants could lead to accelerating the habitat degradation and fragmentation. To further assess the impacts of habitat fragmentation on the Caspian Snowcock, it is suggested to survey the dispersal capacity of this species as well. In addition, considering ecological niches, the Caspian Snowcock can be regarded as an umbrella or flagship species in the high altitude mountains of this area.}, keywords = {Caspian Snowcock,habitat suitability modelling,habitat patches,protected areas}, title_fa = {مدل‌سازی زیستگاه مطلوب کبک دری (Tetraogallus caspius) به عنوان یک گونة شاخص مناطق مرتفع کوهستانی}, abstract_fa = {کبک دری، به عنوان یک گونة به طور عمده غیرمهاجر، شاخص مناطق کوهستانی مرتفع محسوب میشود. این گونه در ارتفاعات مناطق شمالی، شمال غرب و غرب کشور پراکنش دارد. جمعیت کبک دری در سالهای اخیر به واسطة عوامل متعددی مانند تخریب زیستگاه، شکار غیرقانونی و چرای بیش از حد در زیستگاهها با روند کاهشی رو به رو بوده است. بنابراین، شناسایی و حفاظت از لکههای زیستگاهی به نسبت بزرگ به منظور تأمین نیازهای حیاتی جمعیتهای این گونه اهمیت ویژهای دارد. در این پژوهش، مطلوبیت زیستگاه کبک دری در استان چهارمحال و بختیاری (به عنوان یک منطقة دربرگیرندة سیماهای سرزمینی اغلب کوهستانی) مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است. بر اساس یافتهها، ارتفاع از سطح دریا (3/44%)، بارش سالیانه (19%)، شیب (2/17%) و رد پای انسان (5/8 %) به عنوان مهمترین متغیرهای مؤثر بر مطلوبیت زیستگاه کبک دری در این استان شناسایی شدند. این گونه به طور بالقوه میتواند در گسترة ارتفاعی حدود 1700 متر تا بیش از 4100 متر حضور داشته باشد. با این وجود، فقط در حدود 81/0 درصد از زیستگاههای مطلوب کبک دری در گسترة ارتفاعی بین 1700 تا 2000 متر قرار گرفت. در حدود 4/19 درصد از سطح استان به عنوان زیستگاه مطلوب برآورد شد. تنها در حدود 8/15 درصد از زیستگاههای مطلوب در محدودة مناطق حفاظت شده قرار میگیرد. علاوه بر این، لکههای زیستگاهی بزرگ و به نسبت یکپارچه به ویژه در غرب و شمال غرب استان شناسایی شدند که در گسترة مناطق حفاظت شده قرار نمیگیرند. از سوی دیگر، مزاحمتهای انسانی مانند سکونتگاهها، جادهها، چرای دامها و برداشت گیاهان دارویی منجر به محدودیت و تجزیة بیشتر زیستگاههای مطلوب شدهاند. به منظور دستیابی به یک ارزیابی بهتر در زمینة تأثیر تجزیة زیستگاهها بر جمعیتهای کبک دری توصیه میشود توانایی پراکنش این گونه بررسی شود. با توجه به آشیان بومشناختی ویژه، کبک دری میتواند به عنوان یک گونة چتر یا پرچمدار در کوهستانهای مرتفع معرفی شود.}, keywords_fa = {Caspian Snowcock,habitat suitability modelling,habitat patches,protected areas}, url = {https://jne.ut.ac.ir/article_64896.html}, eprint = {https://jne.ut.ac.ir/article_64896_c544f813364236577cb34b6bf9bda025.pdf} }
