Because of their toxicity and accumulative behavior of HMs, they can make different changes in aquatic environment. HMs can enter from contaminated water into fish body by different routes and accumulate in organisms. Since, commercial aquatic animals, such as fish, are highly consumed by human being and may accumulate large amounts of some metals from the water. It is important to determine the concentration of HMs in them in order to evaluate the possible risk of their consumption for human health. This study was conducted to determine the distribution of several types of heavy metals (Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni, Pb and Zn) in the muscle of Tiger-toothed croaker (Otolithes ruber) caught in Bandar-e Mahshahr which is located in the north western Persian Gulf Coast of Iran (N 33º 33´. 32", E 49º 11´ 53"). Heavy metal concentrations were analyzed by using inductively coupled plasma (ICP) and results showed that with the exceptional Ni and Cd, the concentrations of other HMs analyzed in fish sampled are lower than the threshold values described in literature (i.e., WHO). }, keywords = {Bioaccumulation,Heavy metals,Persian Gulf,Tiger-toothed croaker (Otolithes ruber)}, title_fa = {اندازه‌گیری برخی از فلزات سنگین در ماهی شوریده ruber Otolithes: مطالعۀ موردی بندر ماهشهر}, abstract_fa = {سمی‌بودن بالای فلزات سنگین و افزایش غلظت آ‌ن‌ها در محیط‌زیست لزوم پایش مکانی و زمانی آ‌ن‌ها را ایجاب می‌کند. به‌دلیل خاصیت انباشتگیِ فلزات سنگین در بدن آب‌زیان، همواره نگرانی‌هایی درخصوص امکان ورود آ‌ن‌ها به بدن انسان‌ از طریق مصرف ماهی‌های آلوده وجود دارد. زیست‌بوم و نوع تغذیۀ ماهی شوریده به‌صورتی است که عناصر سنگین در بافت‌های آ‌ن‌ها تجمع می‌یابد، از این‌رو منطقۀ مورد مطالعه به منظور بررسی وضعیت آلودگی، انتخاب شد. در این تحقیق میزان غلظت عناصر مهمی چون کادمیومCd ، کرومCr ، مس Cu، سرب Pb، منگنز Mn، روی Zn، نیکل Ni و آهن Fe در بافت خوراکی (عضله) ماهی شوریدۀ صید‌شده از بندر ماهشهر آنالیز شد. نتایج به‌دست‌آمده نشان  داد که میانگین غلظت عمدۀ فلزات مورد بررسی (به‌جز کادمیوم و نیکل) در بافت عضلۀ ماهی شوریده از حد استاندارد اعلام‌شده از سوی WHO کمتر است، اما برای ارزیابی دقیق‌تر خطر سایر منابع دریافت نیز باید بررسی شوند.}, keywords_fa = {Bioaccumulation,Heavy metals,Persian Gulf,Tiger-toothed croaker (Otolithes ruber)}, url = {https://jne.ut.ac.ir/article_35850.html}, eprint = {https://jne.ut.ac.ir/article_35850_e30309e7d21df9736e8443d0810fa6f1.pdf} }
